For the Bluegrass
The EKFC is here for Kentucky and Kentuckians, first. Our at-home efforts are designed with the future of generations here in the Eastern Bluegrass and we believe that by training people to be some of the best in the business, we will successfully incubate and implement a top down infrastructure capable of servicing any size production.
That is why our at-home efforts focus heavily on education, certification, career counseling, workshop intensives to learn higher levels of the industry, mentorship programs, and help with career path trajectory launch.
For Productions
The EKFC offers services on both sides of the production industry working with productions that are considering coming to the region to shoot to get them all the information they need to make an informed decision about Eastern Kentucky as a location for their production.
We help them navigate the Kentucky Entertainment Incentive so they maximize their benefits from the program and act as a liaison between productions and local government to help with permitting, licensing, and local laws.
We connect productions with vendors and local businesses that they will need while in production here.
We help with location scouting and management.
We help productions find local, qualified crew members to crew their show.
We help them find a new home for their future productions by giving them the confidence that the Bluegrass has everything they need for any production.
Screenwriting Intensive

Production Intensive

Learn the all important role of the production department in this top down, two-day intensive that deep dives into scheduling a production and the logistics involved with this complex task.

Learn how to turn the words on the pages of a screenplay into a viable budget to deliver a realistic look at what it will actually cost to produce the project.
All proceeds from workshops goes directly back to the EKFC for use explicitly to expand our workshops.
